Graduation Accomplished!

I couldn't post an entry about my huge day yesterday because I arrived home at 6 in the morning. (I'll share more about that later on). Yesterday I graduated around 10 in the morning in downtown Sacramento, CA. The commencement exercise ceremony was very long for at least 2 and a half hours. Afterwards, when we exited... parents wanted to take a lot of pictures then we headed to the reception party. They put on a money necklace of all dollar bills on my neck (Hawaiian lei) and a purple flowered one. Everyone was staring at me lol. My parents decided to just have a huge lunch at the Holiday Inn with some music and stuff. That took at least 3 hours but it was fun. I got to chill with my relatives for a bit. Later on, I had to go to my grad night party. It's from 8 p.m to 5 a.m. (@__@). We had at least 6 buses since another school came along. We went to a bowling alley that's 1 hour from my school. There, we played at the arcade, bowled, and did some laser tag. The best part was everything was free and there was actually games there that I would play such as Initial D, Street Fighter, Tekken, Time Crisis, and House of the Dead 4. We played a lot of Initial D (lol) since it was free. But it sucked because we couldn't get or use our cards. It was cool though. Soo... for the past 3 hours all I did was play in the arcade and drank soda. At the final hour I decided to play with my friend in House of the Dead 4 and some Initial D.. I never beaten it before and the last boss took 20 minutes.. -__-. It was soo long but it was fun. I was drained and tired too. It was time to leave so I boarded the bus and took a nap. I woke up and I was at the school. Unfortunately, we couldn't bring our wallets, or phones to this party and it sucked because If I didn't had my phone I couldn't call up to get a ride. All the white people left first (I go to a school where minorities are like 3% and everyone is white) and the minorities (us... like 6) waited for our rides (literally). Luckily, I had a cell so I used it and my friends also (since they didn't have a phone). I waited.... I got picked up then I arrived home at 6 in the morning. The streets are like a ghost town and the sky looked like its gunna rain. When I got home I just went to bed. So yeah... my summer is stress free and I'm ready for college! Aiight, that's my story. Later. ^__^

PC and Laptop

I couldn't go on the last two days because my destop computer died. I mean the hard drive disk just failed and I couldn't reinstall Windows XP anymore. The day before 2 days ago I formatted and reinstalled my computer twice the same day and it was successful on the last try. Just before I finished my homework and what not it was time for me to sleep. It was around midnight when I decided to shutdown my computer. My eyes glaze upon it and suddenly I wear this awkward noise coming from the PC. Massive lag attacked my computer and it took minutes for me to go to the task manager to shutdown from there. As I reboot my computer didn't even pass the Windows XP logo and it showed black. It said I missing a file. So ok I thought to myself. I'll just reinstall Windows and FORMAT once again. -_- This time it gone wrong. As I tried installing Windows XP and formatted it basically froze and blue screen attacked the computer. I restart and try again. A couple of time it wasn't successful. So I just said screw it and went to bed.

The next try the following evening my computer didn't even respond AT ALL with the Windows XP setup. I call up my cousin after I stare upon the blue screen. I told him there was no partitions to install and the computer basically wouldn't reinstall and format... The conversation ended after talking to my uncle and he invited me to drop by and have him take a look. I stayed there for 3 hours. We tried everything to fix it but it failed. I needed a new hard drive disk or a new computer. I decided to get a new computer since that desktop is already ancient (10 years old with floppy drive...) and I don't wanna use it anymore; it's risky, I drove home with nothing and it was late at night. I walk up to my room and did a bit researching on a NEW laptop since its almost college time. After an hour of research. I came upon a nice laptop on BestBuy.com under the 'Top-Rated' laptops. It's cool since its around $379.99 and thats GOOD for a laptop. The reviews literally draw my attention to how everyone said how good is this thing. After reading all 105 reviews I basically came down that I need this. :) This laptop is just surprisingly fast as everyone says. Please read the reviews.

Sample Review
"I have to say, I was a bit skeptical when I went over the specs and saw it only had a single core and was running Vista, but it really doesn't seem to matter. This "Little Engine that Could" runs just as fast, if not even faster than my 2 year old Dell with a dual core! I use this computer primarily for web surfing, and writing word documents and power point presentations for school. It does it's job in an exemplary fashion. Highly Recommended!"

Alright that's the end of my story. Thank you for reading.

Wi-Fi Connection and Tips!

Today I went to staples and grabbed a wireless adapter for my desktop computer since my old one was crappy and it started to shake on me. I grabbed a LINKSYS Wireless-G PCI Adapter. It's compatible with my router and would optimize the speed of the connection. Well I tried it out and the results are great. By the way, to install a PCI device you gotta open up the PC and insert it inside. I had a little trouble with that. <__< But anyways the connection was good but I added a homemade adapter on top of the other. It's called a WindSurfer.

Here is the background information on how to make this cheap Wi-Fi extender and making it doesn't have any cost. Since many of the people in the world have Wi-Fi, or you probably wouldn't be playing this, it is no surprise that things like weak signals may arise. The solution? Either spend money on signal extenders or other Wi-Fi adaptors. There is a rather cheap an inexpensive alternative however. By following this link....

This is a quick and easy way to get more range for pennies.

You can play Wi-Fi with several walls in between you. All you need to do is watch the video and follow the link next to the video to get a print out of the signal extender. Then you just cover the satellite part in aluminum foil and put it together. Last you need to make a slots big enough to fit your router's antenna or the Nintendo USB Adapter (the top blue part) able to be inserted. After that you should see a significant increase in bars, speed, etc.

I really hope this little piece of information helps anyone looking for a quick solution to this problem or just to help boost your signal. By the By: I shall not be credited for making this excellent video and gadget. Credit goes to DL.TV and the guys at freeantennas.

Materials you will need:
Paper (Any printing paper will work. The aluminum foil does all the work.)
Aluminum Foil
Scissors or X-Acto Knife
Glue

Remember when you double the size of the template you will get better results. However, if you have a router with two antennas you can make two WindSurfers for each. Have fun!

OpenDNS Server Address
Here's another tip to make your connection faster! This can be applied on your Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS/i or with most that can connect to the internet. Just add the DNS's at the bottom.

For PC you gotta go to your 'Network Connections'. Right click on your connection and scroll down to 'Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)' then click properties. Tick 'Use the following DNS server addresses'. Then once you're down click 'OK'.

Put in the following DNS:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

You should notice a difference. Enjoy!
